Following on from our previous blog – ‘Happy Tartan Day, New York!’ – We hinted at some very exciting upcoming news, coinciding perfectly with celebrating our 40th year anniversary. So here it is; this coming September MacGregor and MacDuff are heading to New York, to host a luxury kilt fitting service!
The service will be held from the 18th to the 22nd of September, at 130 West 57th Street. This extraordinary studio building was designed by architects Pollard and Steinam, in 1907-08, as a cooperative for artists. 130 West 57th Street has been the home to many famous creatives including; the painter Childe Hassam, American novelist Theodore Dreiser, as well as musicians such as John Oates and The Rolling Stones. We are honoured to be based in such an iconic building, and are excited to show the residents of New York the quality and craftsmanship that is MacGregor and MacDuff.
Over the five day fitting service, appointments will be available from 8am to 8pm with one of our senior stylists. Our stylists are professionally trained in measuring for a kilt outfit, as well as having years of experience in the industry. With a wealth of knowledge, they will be able to advise you on choosing every element of your outfit, as well as showing you how to don everything correctly. The personalised fitting experience will begin by flicking through our tartan books, whilst sipping on a wee dram of one of Scotland’s finest whiskies! From there, we will talk you through each part of your kilt outfit, and get you measured. We will have a range of sizing kilts and jackets available for you to try on; ensuring that your full outfit is a perfect fit.
This is the perfect opportunity to get professionally fitted for an authentic Scottish kilt outfit, and we are excited to meet our customers across the pond!
