8 Yard Fully Handmade Kilt - Choose Your Tartan

(Excl. VAT): £387.50 Incl. VAT: £465.00

Quick Overview

A handmade kilt is an investment for life. A true craft, your kilt will be impeccably hand-stitched to fit your measurements.

Individually crafted for you, the kilt will be made in Scotland from 100% worsted wool. A traditional 8 yard, authentic Scottish kilt, if cared and looked after will last a lifetime and beyond.

A handmade kilt is a lifetime investment, which can be passed down to future generations. This type of kilt can be completely re-made to fit a new waist measurement, up to 8” difference either way.

All of the stitches can be unpicked back to the 8 yards of material and then remade to a new size.

With over 4,000 tartans to pick between; from traditional clan and district tartans to more modern designs - we ensure that we will have the perfect tartan for your very own kilt outfit.

Please note that some tartans have an additional charge due to the cloth costing more to produce.

Waist Take a firm (not tight) measurement at the navel. This is normally 2 inches higher than your hip bone.

Chest Size Take a loose measurement under the arms and over the shoulder blades.

Height The most important measurement! Ensure this is correct.

Kilt Length Measure from the top of the hip bone to the middle of the knee cap. You will need someone to help you take this measurement.

Sett Pattern - This is the most common way to have your kilt made. This is where the tartan on the front mirrors the tartan on the back.
Line Pattern - This is more of a military style where if there is a prominent line in the tartan this is seen down every pleat on the back of the kilt.
