Sgian Dubhs

The term Sgian dubh is gaelic for 'Black Dagger'. These ornamental blades are used as a finishing touch to a traditional highland outfit.

Replica and real bladed sgian dubhs available. The Sgian Dubh should be tucked down the outside of a kilt sock with only an inch or two of the top showing. Celtic and Scottish thistle themes are common amongst the sgian dubhs which are great for matching up with other accessories. Many sgian dubhs offer a choice of stone colour to tie in with your tartan.

Please note, we do not sell sgian dubhs to under-18s. By purchasing a sgian dubh from MacGregor and MacDuff, the buyer certifies that they are 18 years of age or older and that they may legally purchase the sgian dubh.

All sgian dubhs listed on the MacGregor and MacDuff website have a blade length of less than 3.5 inches
