Traditionally, the Prince Charlie jacket is the most formal jacket you can wear with a kilt outfit. The jacket comes with a 3 button waistcoat and you do not need to pay any extra for this waistcoat. The jacket is worn with a bow tie and has a few distincitve features. Epillettes are present on both shoulders, which have a knotted effect to them. There are 3 buttons running down either side of the jacket at the front and also, there are 3 buttons running down both tails at the back of the jacket. The cuffs on the Prince Charlie jacket have 3 buttons running down the sleeve, just at the forearm area. The jacket does not fasten at the front and is instead worn open, so that the waistcoat buttons can be seen. 

The jacket is made from black 17oz Barrathea, which is an excellent quality of cloth and one that will last the test of time.
